A speech that was not delivered

09 December 2006

Thank you, Mico and Zane. For the past week, I’ve been trying to make a speech that would perfectly describe my feelings tonight. Aimee and I have been planning this wedding for one and a half years. It’s not obvious but I could say that my wife did most of the job. Hehe.

She’s so amazing and I feel like I’m the luckiest guy in the world. A huge credit goes to her. Taas ang kamay ko sa ‘yo. Thank you, be. I love you.

This night is a night of thank you’s. We thank our families for their strong show of support especially Rain for his help and patience in making this possible. Tonight marks a start of a lifelong realization- finally, I am now officially part of a bigger family. I’ve been blessed to be with a wonderful girl like Aimee and for the past five years, I’m more blessed with a family that supports our relationship. And for that, I would like to thank you, Mama and Papa.

We also wanted to thank our good friends- old and new, for completing this occasion. Aimee and I are very happy to see you guys. Thank you.

A lot of people may think that a wedding is the end to every romantic episode. It might be true but it is also my belief that it just doesn’t end there.

The best is yet to come.
