A season of firsts

I’m a die-hard Green Archer fan and I’m writing this to find some solace. It looks like the season’s over for my team.

Masasabi kong maswerte ako at na-experience kong maging champion and La Salle nung 1998 to 2000.

Game Three ‘yun. Game Three din ‘yun. Hindi ukol sa La Salle.

Mabalik tayo.

Dinala ko ‘to nung Game Three.

It’s been 10 years and the memory of that game still lingers. I created a blog to celebrate those years. I don’t know if it’s a good time to share it with my fellow Lasallites/ Lasallians especially now that we’re on the brink of elimination.

It’s a season of firsts. A five-game losing streak (hopefully it ends at five) and a looming possibility of not being in the Final Four. As a fan, it really is a hard thing to accept but come to think of it, I guess it’s our turn to be in this situation. It gets our feet on the ground and makes us strive harder.

Maybe we’ve gotten used to winning and maybe it’s time to eat our humble pie.

My team’s story will be a lot more interesting next year. I still believe in Coach Franz Pumaren. I still believe in my team. We will bounce back.

I don’t know what happened but I do know that we will bounce back.
